About us

My name is Sandra Imamkhan-Barnes and I am the founder of Miju Miju - pronounced as "Mee-joo-Mee-joo". I have an academic background and I have worked in marketing for over 10 years. I am Dutch and have lived in England for the last 5 years, after falling in love with an Englishman.

Having grown up with parents owning several fashion boutiques, I have always wanted to set-up my own and do it my way. When my daughter was born 3 years ago it started to be very tempting to do something about this. I decided to give up my job in marketing and start a children's boutique, consequently Miju Miju was born. The name is a combination of the two names of our daughter, Misha Jules.

Originally from South America, I have always had that little bit of the Latin spirit in me; having grown up in Holland though, this is tempered with the Dutch sense of down-to-earthness. This combination in cultures expresses itself in my sense of fashion and style. As a consequence I love vibrant colours and big bold patterns, simplified by the simple styles of the clothes.

Through Miju Miju I aspire to provide my customers with desirable children's fashion, that exude quality and comfort and is chosen for its exquisite colours and beautiful styles. I believe that we can teach our children about style and looking the part from a young age.

I am passionate about selling exclusive stylish children's brands that I would be proud to put on my daughter and other parents would feel the same about.
